Yes, Lybi got the car, on her birthday, (yesterday) - dressed in her little red dress, and it's a red beetle, and there was a red rose in the dashboard bud vase..... The boys are STOKED, and it is a great little car. We drove it home from the dealership - about a half-hour to the north - 10,000 miles on it, not a blemish top to bottom, 1998 model year with all the extras, and the shiny-est coat of RED paint you ever did see. (Cloth interior, a light tan colour). THEN she handed it over to me and said she was too paranoid to drive it, and I should take it for a day or two to break it in. That was yesterday. So today, I drove over 100 miles in New Jersey, and I can declare - IT'S A GREAT CAR!! It really is a nice little buggy - rides very smooth and hugs the road, and has lots of juice in the engine, and a very smooth automatic transmission. I think it was the right thing to do, and I'm glad I engineered the deal. Kids are over-the-moon stoked about it. Engineering-wise, it has some great little touches of brilliance, and for an old VW bug driver from Waaaaay back - "She's a Keeper!" Tomorrow I am going to give it back to Lybi so that she can take the kids to school in it - (Last day of school tomorrow).
