Marc - In Sydney for the Millennium Party - 1999

 Marc Middelmann follows on from his accounts of working and travelling in USA and UK and biking, camping, diving and sailing in Queensland, Australia with the next installment, written on 27 January 2000.

And some news on Sydney...

The rest of my stay in Australia was spent largely in Sydney, staying with John and Ollie in their new house just above Balmoral Beach, Mosman.

I also spent some time on Magnetic Island, in Brisbane, as well as a week camping and fishing with the cousins at Eden on the south coast of NSW.

We had a great Christmas and New Years celebrations and its been fantastic to spend some time on John and Ollie's turf for once. They have been the ultimate temporary parents to me and a few other South African travellers. They have opened my eyes to Australia and I hope to be back again very soon.
