One of my earliest recollections of Hans is as a very young, serious-minded man in dark suit, white shirt and tie - black or dark in colour.

One couldn't imagine him ever talking to a girl, let alone dating her. So imagine our surprise when he produced the beautiful and very young Jessie with her yellow hair and pink cheeks and said they were to be married!

We thought, now that really is a dark horse.
