Terribly sad news
Paul died of a sudden heart attack on the morning of November 14. He was out cycling with friends, as he often did early in the morning before work.
There's some comfort from knowing that up to the very last minute he was fully engaged in doing what he loved. Yet it has been a huge, huge shock and enormous loss to us all. Paul was such a great guy, and so strong and active that no one had the slightest inkling of disaster waiting in the wings.
All of the immediate family and many extended family and friends hastily assembled in Cape Town for funeral-memorial events, mutual support, many tears and much love and shared memories of a fine life that ended so abruptly, much too soon.
Paulus, we all miss you so much!
